In autumn 2020, the Russian Cultural and Information Centre in Sofia (Bulgaria) located at 34 Shipka Street will host this year's first Russian Digital Cooperation in Universities - an international exhibition of Russian universities. The event has been initiated by the Federal Agency of the Russian Federation for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo).

The exhibition programme will bring together representatives of public authorities from Russia and Bulgaria, heads of Russian and Bulgarian universities, delegates from major companies, Russian and Bulgarian specialists, students and prospective students. Russia's leading universities will present their programmes and projects.

Russian universities are invited to join in
University representatives are invited to take part in the exhibition events to present their proprietary educational programmes and projects, and as speakers (the topic of the speech to be discussed with each participant).

Participation in the exhibition is free. The display area will be technically fitted with up-to-date devices (an interactive touch panel, video screens, audio and presentation facilities, etc.). Each university will be given a stand to present its educational programmes and projects to the exhibition visitors, to speak with the prospective students seeking to continue their education at Russian universities. For convenience, the organising committee is offering interpreters, stand attendants, a photographer and a videographer at the exhibition.

The mission of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) as part of the Personnel for Digital Economy federal project in line with the national program Digital Economy of the Russian Federation is to enhance, through its events and initiatives, Russia's geopolitical interests by promoting cultural exchange, education and new technologies. It also aims to build strong relations and cooperation worldwide at the highest level of professionalism, efficiency and sustainability.

About the digital program of Rossotrudnichestvo
The efforts of Rossotrudnichestvo are aimed at improvement of digital literacy of school students and teachers of Russian schools abroad: almost 50 thousand school students and about 5 thousand teachers and executives of Russian schools abroad will participate in the events.
By 2021, it is planned to reach
the following:

3150
teachers of Russian schools abroad will complete advanced training in other countries in the competencies that are key for the digital economy.
6300
students and teachers of Russian schools abroad to be trained in the programmes of replicating the best digital literacy development practices.
3500
persons will attend the educational and motivational events aimed to win over prospective foreign students for university studies in IT majors.
3000
persons will attend the educational and motivational events intended to attract talented people residing abroad to get a job in the Russian Federation.
