Introduction of digital educational technologies and practices to the educational process at Russian schools abroad to improve digital literacy of school students.

Infographic Design and Data Visualisation
The course teaches the basics of use of infographics and data visualisation tools as an advanced data representation and communication technique and an effective method of reaching out to the audience. The programme of the course includes special aspects of business infographics, rules of creating dynamic visual content (presentations) as well as provides an overview of critical thinking activation techniques and methods of developing creativity and effective communication among school children in the process of mastering infographics and other data visualisation tools.

Data Journalism
After the course, the participants will be able to work with data and create data-driven media projects and visual stories. The underlying idea of the course is that everyone can work with data and visualisation without being a programmer or designer. During the course, the participants will learn to see stories in data as well as collect, filter through and analyse data themselves and process and visualise data. The course will provide an overview of the history of open-source data, including examples of info-cases related to publication and use of open-source data.

Information Security
The course introduces the main terminology and explains various threats to information security and methods of prevention and counteraction. Moreover, during the course, the participants will master techniques of teaching information security basics to school children.

Programming for Beginners
The course provides and overview of LabVIEW, a graphical programming platform, its functionality and tools. It looks into some aspects of LabVIEW use in teaching an engineering approach to programming to school students aged 14–16. During the course, the participants will find out how to apply the acquired knowledge, including in WorldSkills Junior Competition. Special attention is paid to use of graphical programming and related hardware as part of the project-based approach.

Online e-learning will allow to teach up to 2,500 people with free access to educational resources; improve digital literacy of foreign school students participating in the online e-learning system and students of Russian schools abroad on the basis of a network of base schools in Moscow and four regions of the Russian Federation arrangement of online e-learning following the complete secondary education curriculum for 100 students in the Russian Federation.


The project is aimed at international cooperation of school students, teachers and administrations of schools in the age of digital transformation, and unites the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Russian Federation.

The project events will be held from October to December 2019. After completion of all project events there will be held the International Online Festival of Children's Digital Products and Projects. An important outcome of the project will be creation of a communication network for school students and teachers from four countries.

Students will be able to take educational courses on a digital educational platform to shape up their digital behaviour, improve digital literacy skills and develop their own digital products. The project workshop called My Digital Educational Project for school students allows to take courses and create their own digital product based on the Еxterium educational environment, and teachers can learn the basic practice of supporting the project work of children.

The result of the intramural strategic session for teachers and administrators of schools will be acquaintance with the digital educational environment called Мoodle and competent consultation with experts. At the end of the project there will be an expert session of projects for transformation of schools.
Administrators of educational institutions will get a series of consultations for development of digital transformation management projects based on the resources for cooperation on the regional, national and international levels.

Teams of teachers
Teams of teachers will be offered the Advanced Training Programme called "Digital Transformation of School: Strategy, Network Projects and New Competencies", during which the participants can select either the induction or competence-based or project-based educational path.

The programme has been developed by top specialists from ITMO University with Rossotrudnichestvo funding and in line with the Russian national programme Digital Economy of the Russian Federation.
This project includes the most current and useful information from such areas of digital literacy as programming, IT security, robotics, blockchain, smart things, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, building websites, etc.
This is an online course for school students of grades 8 to 11, teachers and administrators.
Participation is free of charge.
At the end of the course, the school students will be given certificates that add extra five points to their score when applying to ITMO University. Teachers and administrators will be issued certificates of completion of advanced training.
