ABOUT THE INITIATIVE
Online education courses for training and retraining of teachers at Russian schools abroad are aimed at development of cross-functional competencies. The programmes are developed subject to the relevant educational trends: digital transformation of education, customisation of educational paths for students, development of new literacy skills (skills of the XXI century) in them, including critical thinking, communication and cooperation, social and emotional intelligence.

THE COUNTRY HOSTING THE EVENTS OF THIS PROJECT
Belarus
Studies will take place in the Republic of Belarus. The programme is open for school teachers in the Republic of Belarus. Applications for participation can be filed in the following cities: Bobruisk, Brest, Grodno, Minsk, Orsha.
The programme
The course implies the intra-extramural form of study, the learning process is based on online technologies.

ADVANCED TRAINING COURSES FOR TEACHERS

Infographic Design and Data Visualisation – 16 classroom hours
After the course, the participants will be able to work with data and create data-driven media projects and visual stories. The underlying idea of the course is that everyone can work with data and visualisation without being a programmer or designer. During the course, the participants will learn to see stories in data as well as collect, filter through and analyse data themselves and process and visualise data. The course will provide an overview of the history of open-source data, including examples of info-cases related to publication and use of open-source data.

Information Security - 16 classroom hours
The course introduces the main terminology and explains various threats to information security and methods of prevention and counteraction. Moreover, during the course, the participants will master techniques of teaching information security basics to school children.

Programming for Beginners - 16 classroom hours
The course provides and overview of LabVIEW, a graphical programming platform, its functionality and tools. It looks into some aspects of LabVIEW use in teaching an engineering approach to programming to school students aged 14–16. During the course, the participants will find out how to apply the acquired knowledge, including in WorldSkills Junior Competition. Special attention is paid to use of graphical programming and related hardware as part of the project-based approach.

ONLINE MODULES FOR TEACHERS
Development and implementation of innovative customised modular programmes for supplementary vocational training for teachers and employees of Russian schools abroad in the sphere of educational techniques for improvement of digital literacy of school students, cross-functional competencies and skills of the XXI century.

An online broadcast will be arranged for school employees who have no access to online learning. Subject to the evaluation results, each school employee will be able to design a customised programme for supplementary vocational training with a duration of 32-90 hours and use it for learning.

During the course, the participants will get an insight into the educational practices, learn how to use the tools to form a developmental environment for successful education, improve digital literacy and skills of the XXI century, and how to shape individual educational paths for students subject to their individual abilities and education gaps.
