SUPPORTED BY THE GRANT PROGRAMME OF ROSSOTRUDNICHESTVO
CYBER BOOK
A digital course book for children aged 11–16 years to teach them programming skills.
CYBER BOOK is one of the leading and most popular projects in the field of the digital economy, which have been developed as part of the digital economy development program with the support of the Rossotrudnichestvo grant program.

With CYBER BOOK, children will learn professional programming language С# by playing
:

– Sparking children's interest in programming

– Creating a pool of future highly qualified specialists for digital economy

– Supporting talented children

CYBER BOOK improves digital literacy among students in Russia and abroad

After two years of studying with CYBER BOOK, a child will be skilled at the level of a Junior Developer
The project is aimed at development of the digital economy competencies in the younger generation.
During the work, the participants will be offered a series of teaching units covering the problems related to algorithm-building, Boolean expressions and cycles. The study of these problems will be hidden from the user by the gaming experience. The gaming experience involves solution of a logical puzzle where the user has to solve the problem by making a list of ready-to-use instructions. The levels are arranged in such a manner so that the user has to solve simple problems first and then gradually move forward to complex algorithmic problems. The levels are divided into chapters offering to solve the dedicated problems. The app includes labyrinths where the problems are generated in a random fashion so that the participants cannot cheat.
The main objective is to teach programming by solving algorithmic problem in a simulated experience.
FEATURES

Skill training and control are customised to the students depending on their behaviour.
1

Some problems are generated with the use of special algorithms to prevent cheating
2

If the assistant is unable to answer the student's question, the expert community of teachers will step in.
3
CYBER BOOK is recommended for children who are interested in:

– Maths;
– Programming;
– Computer and video games;
– Programming contests and competitions;
– Engineering.

During the course the students will:

- elaborate approaches to solution of algorithmic problems;
- obtain programming skills;
- study the syntax and semantics of С#;
- obtain basic programming skills;
- be carried away by the software writing process.

Requirements to students
Aged 11+, no programming skills required.
Technical requirement
PC with Windows, Mac OS or tablets with IOS, iPad OS, Android.
The Internet
Access to the Internet.
Fun
Children learn through play.
Individual pace of learning
Problems are generated taking into account the student's abilities.
Creative thinking
Tests are generated using algorithms that prevent copycatting.
Affordable
The project is funded by the grant of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo), so children living in the EAEU can take the course for free.
Familiar environment
Millions of children develop their algorithmic thinking just by playing popular video games like Minecraft. With CYBER BOOK, they will be immersed in a similar environment.
Programming skills are not required
The course provides the theory. To solve practical problems, children will be able to choose from the pre-coded pieces of code as a preparatory step towards writing code by themselves in future.
Expert support
Children will be able to join a chat with professional developers, teachers and other students.
Rapid results
The learning process is based on the technology that showed a 30% increase in the learning speed.
UMA | Your digital teacher

Artificial intelligence. She can recognise speech, answer your questions and help solve some challenges.

Uma is designed to reduce teachers' load by providing answers to typical students' questions. If Uma is unable to answer a question, it will be redirected to the teacher.

CYBER BOOK project was born out of an irresistible desire to help talented children master disruptive technologies such as AI, VR and AR as these markets will be developing at least for the next 50 years.

We develop and teach about VR/AR and AI technologies ourselves, without a middleman. We have been building a community of developers by training them on real projects. We also promote talented children through personal producing. CYBER BOOK will provide continuous IT training from school onwards.

FREE EDUCATIONAL WEBINARS
CYBER BOOK team holds regular educational webinars on the digital book implementation and use with the project creators for representatives of educational institutions.
At the webinar, the participants will learn about the purpose of the book, the target audience and how to get started. Parents and teachers will learn how to self-educate and how to organise classroom activities. Teachers will learn how to use teaching aids and resources to plan their classes and how to draw up a curriculum.
The mission of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) as part of the federal project Personnel for Digital Economy in line with the nationwide programme Digital Economy of the Russian Federation is to secure, through its events and initiatives, Russia's geopolitical interests by promoting cultural exchange, education and new technologies, as well as to build stronger relations and cooperation worldwide by preserving the highest level of professionalism, efficiency and sustainable development.
